ABOUT ME

You'll find me spending countless hours learning how to play sub-par tunes on my ol banjer and harmonica, but hey if it makes ya happy right? You'll also come to find that i'm a lot better at listening to music than playing it, so let's hope that the writing about music skills chalk up to about the same.​

I also like to read about... you guessed it... music. Especially ethnomusicology and stuff of the music theory sort. I've also read countless autobiographies from musicians. I took a couple music classes in college but feel like i learned very little from them honestly lol. So let's at least hope that the writing skills say otherwise from the media studies and communication classes.

But basically, i want use this site to share blog posts that'll mostly be album reviews, concert talk and random music banter. It'll largely coincide with my @jakesmoosic instagram page and the albums of mine that I post on there in no particular order and will vary on what i feel like writing about & listening to at the time, because we want different music in different moods and settings and thats whats so great about it.
