WEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEeeeeeee
I realized how long it's been since I did one of these as a writing prompt. A quick look back through the album uploads on my Instagram account, very quickly let me know I should do it on this one. This is less of an album review as it is album worship.
I've heard Alice In Chains referred to as "fart rock." Is that correct? Actually, who cares! get bent! I remember the version of me that might've said something like "HaVe YoU lIsTeNeD tO Jane's Addiction?" (Ink Master is a good watch Dave) In response to being asked about Alice In Chains and in an attempt to be different. That version of me can also
"get bent!"
Alice In Chains and "Jar of Flies" can put a very sharp dagger in your heart. Have you ever listened to "Nutshell" at the wrong time? it messes you up emotionally. There are memes about it. Through those memes I've also seen it referred to as a replacement to therapy. So it's kind of a "double-edged" sharp dagger. (See what I did there) It's one of those tunes that can make you feel things, but maybe you should actually be in a good headspace before you listen to it. I don't think I need to analyze every song. But maybe try to be in a good headspace to hear the album overall. By the time "No Excuses" rolls around, you might be feeling terribly emotionally confused anyway. "Whale & Wasp" kind of makes you feel like you're in some kind of trouble right afterwards so...
YOU DID SOMETHING BAD!!!
I can't wait for Layne Staley to see this
