Am I Roger Miller?

Have you ever seen me and Roger Miller in the same room?
I think that would be very difficult...
To be honest, I actually haven't even known who Roger Miller was for very long.
If you know me in person, I tend to make a lot of obscene noises. Kind of like the ones found throughout Roger Miller songs like "Dang Me", "Lou's Got The Flu", "I Ain't Comin' Home Tonight" and many more. But every now and then I might actually say something somewhat coherent and insightful. Like the words found in a Roger Miller tune such as "A World So Full Of Love". I might string together some words in my own kind of silly way like just about any lyric involved in "My Uncle Used To Love Me But She Died". Maybe we could've just had a similar sense of humour. We'd probably be about the same age physically if he was still kickin'. I'm pretty good at giving context for and conjuring the kind of situations that only your grandparents or deceased relatives would relate to. (maybe like this blog) Perhaps I was Roger Miller in a past life?
I might even have a probable fate similar to his if we want to add some morbid irony to it.
A bit of self-inflicted dark humour is a great coping tool used by lots of folks
But I've decided that I'll use that note as a bit of an update: I've been doing really good for a really long time but of course there's always a bit of uncertainty to face!
It's good to be able to poke a little fun at that.
"THE ABILITY TO LAUGH AT WEAKNESS" - "Fitter Happier", Radiohead
Oh but there's also the fact that Roger Miller was actually a musician and could play guitar and sing and stuff? 😬
