CONTRIBUTE THIS!

"Contribution" - Jurassic 5

"Either you're a part of the problem or you're a part of the solution"

"Your job ain't nothin', all these years you've just been frontin'"

Someone that doesn't contribute to society in a "normal" way is no less valuable of a person. To give a musical metaphor: The bass player is often seen as less contributory of the band as they're not typically as flashy or upfront. (Unless you're Flea, Les Claypool, Mike Kerr, etc... lol) But the band might fall apart without them. Look at somebody like Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath. While Ozzy Osbourne is the more well-known stage presence, Geezer often wrote the lyrics, Ozzy was singing them.

For someone dealing with a disability, their "contribution to society" might not look the same. But a lot of it can go on behind the scenes. And if they're not doing what you might see as that. It certainly doesn't make them any less of a person, deserving of less or a waste of space.

What an extremely negative way to look at things. Surely someone that is offering such noble contribution to society wouldn't feel the need to diss other folks in that same society, right? For someone that is surviving their life vs someone building theirs? Be glad if you don't understand.

Insinuating that someone struggling to perform mundane tasks is somehow a free-loader and reprobate? Omg, get lost?
