Death From Above 1979 are the kings of simultaneously making the most pleasing and yet completely disgusting sounds in existence.
Teenage Mortgage opened up the night by being probably the greatest punk rock act that I've ever seen live. To make the night even sweeter, DFA1979 opened up their set full blazing with "Turn It Out" my personal favourite from the duo. (shoutout to Shoresy) Just like their album "You're A Woman, I'm a Machine" starts and fittingly shares the name of their current tour. Anyways that album is perfect. Have you ever tried listening to that album while doing yoga/meditating/breath-work? Seems a bit counter productive I know but holy shit... If you some how weren't feeling like a badass before, that's sure to do the trick. DFA1979 made sure to play lots of tunes from that album and all their big tunes that kept the crowd roaring. Of course those "one more song" chants graced us with two more songs for the encore that was gladly welcomed even though the knees were definitely feeling it at that point.
Bo's of course was a superb venue to see them at as always with every other act I see there and that gets a glorious chance to roll through there.
