Doug Robb at Snake Lake

I was writing a blog about the impact and importance of local music on the local community and whatnot. But I guess the best way to support local live music is to actually go support local live music... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you're looking to have a fun night out, look no further than a Doug Robb performance.

I fully commend anyone who will perform "Rattlin' Bog" at full speed and do it honour. That's no easy task for anyone. Not to mention the other Newfie tunes he performs at request. Hearing Great Big Sea songs always does my mainland stricken heart well. Of course he plays just about anything and not just the east coast favourites. Not only does he interact with the crowd profoundly through requests, he'll even interact with the crowd enough to bring somebody on stage with him.

There's nothing better than live music and I'd listen to this guy play hits all night long.
