MOOSIC THEORY?!?!

Back for another edition of things I think I've already written about but now it's with a slightly different context!
I'm very sure that I must've claimed before that my blogs come purely from a place of passion and interest. I'm also admittedly much better at listening to moosic than playing it. I know next to nothing about music theory, I'm almost entirely self taught, and I won't claim otherwise. Of course there was that one music theory class that I took in college, but I obviously didn't retain a whole lot. I certainly won't be able to give you some Anthony-Fantano-style breakdown of whatever I'm listening to anyways. Most playing I've learned is by ear, especially harmonica. Newfoundland-style accordion music transfers over to a harmonica greatly. I can figure it out after lots of listening and experimenting or maybe with a little guidance from some accordion tablature. With banjo, I obviously use pretty unorthodox methods to compensate for my lacking hand. So no, I don't know my scales and junk. Chord shapes are also pretty weird and I greatly benefit from tablature that requires me to do specific movements. It's very beneficial that my music taste is so all over the place so I can more easily adapt accordingly.
Can someone please explain to me what arpeggiating means again?
