I've written this blog entirely to share my infatuation with some of the music that a few artists are releasing lately.

Just weeks ago "Who" by The Sheepdogs was deeply riddled into my brain after hearing it live. The recently released track "Darlin' Baby" now temporarily claims the throne. I'm sure I've said something similar before but it somehow gives me the sense of a song that I've heard a million times while still being a partially unrecognizable new release. Perhaps it's just because as I said in my previous blog, The Sheepdogs are such an embodiment of so many 70's legends that knew how to write such a remarkably expressive tune. I deeply love the rest of their new five-song record "Paradise Alone" that was released on August 22nd as it offers only greatness and nothing less than what you'd expect from them. Another new offering of 70's style goodness is anything from Jeremie Albino. His new release "I Don't Mind Waiting" from his new upcoming album "Our Time In The Sun" is just so fucking good. Jeremie is a diamond in the rough of the ensuing Americana/soul wave of tunes that I just gobble up. After Sam Barber inserted the illusive tune "Jersey Giant" by Tyler Childers into my brain when I saw Sam perform it live I was completely delighted that he released his cover for me to listen to as well. Just when I had stopped thinking about it, dammit... The lord and saviour and a fellow Jake, The White Buffalo is releasing his first live album "A Freight Train Through The Night" which is also incredibly exciting and will likely become a new addition to my vinyl collection eventually.

I've easily gotten stuck listening to old artists or ones that are dead. So it's nice and refreshing to have artists releasing new music to look forward to. Or ones that are still alive to tour and stuff ya know. New music is good.
