Hey look, it's another poor quality blurry photo!

I remember the first time I was introduced to Old Man Luedecke's music so greatly. We were given the task to find figurative language (Figurative language, like metaphors, alliteration and junk ya know?) in the lyrics of his song "Kingdom Come" (which has a bunch of course) in a grade 9 English class and shown the YouTube video of him playing it on acoustic guitar in the woods. (Link at the bottom.) But yea it was kind of a weird awakening because I was like "wow I love this stuff!?" But also my favourite band at the time was Black Sabbath and thought anything that wasn't from the 70s stunk. I of course like a good mix of both as Old Man Luedecke himself claims that he makes music for "vegan knitters".

I saw Old Man Luedecke live about 7 years ago in Newfoundland. So seeing him in a venue on the other side of the country was a bit delightful. Just like I did 7 years ago when he said "are there any requests?" I yelled out "I'm Fine", a favourite of mine that gets looped in my head during any troubling times. Singing that song in your head over and over is sure to make you believe "I'm Fine". Which is a song from his album "Tender Is The Night" that I brought my record sleeve for him to sign at that 2017 show. This time I made sure to grab a copy of "Domestic Eccentric" on vinyl which was his most recent release at the show in 2017 and is packed full of memories and greatness. That new "Domestic Eccentric" CD got as much replay value as any TOOL or Alice In Chains CD in my buddy's high school car.

Old Man Luedecke is one of the main inspirations for me playing the 5 string banjo.
