As I'm sure you would've noticed from my Instagram account, I enjoy listening to vinyl records. But there is definitely a darker side to the community...
I'm certainly no-one to judge, I aim to only spread positivity. "I don't write about shit I don't like." But I can still poke a little fun. So why must so many people try to treat vinyl records like ancient artefacts? Like I said in my last blog, "Just lay in bed, listen to a record and breathe man." Who cares if someone picks it up or holds it in a kinda weird way? I certainly hold them weird... Of course, people want to preserve the record to maintain sound quality and all of that jazz. But why do we have to be snobs about it and lecture some young kid about the downside of one of those Crosley suit-case-style record players for an hour? I doubt they were expecting to be a top notch audiophile with it. But maybe it's an entry to that?

Collecting is fun, moosic is fun. I think you should enjoy it in whatever way you please. Especially when that album was bought by you, you deserve to do whatever you want with it. See I'm back on track with the whole "spreading positivity" thing again.

Also listen to the Shakey Graves version btw.
