One day you're too cool to listen to country music, the next your playlists are full of Corb Lund. "WELL IT'S HARD TO KEEP A WHITE SHIRT CLEAN" But you can actually live here without listening to country music If you really want to. I know I've for sure seen some cool shows here of ALL genres..
Black Mastiff is a nice stoner-doom-metal place to start. Kinda sludgy right? Does a Sabbath fans' heart well. But I've actually never seen them live. YET!
(I stay out of the mosh pits, who would've guessed) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Rural Alberta Advantage is worth mentioning, they offer some good vibes no matter what province you're in. (or from) Definitely one of the best live performances I've witnessed.
I've seen Scenic Route To Alaska a few times, have you? I'd see them a few more times, you will too? You can also listen to lots of their stuff in the meantime.
I've definitely seen The Static Shift a few times. They now go by Jade Elephant. More stuff to check out. But they are phenomenal live, also check out that if you can.
Not to mention so many more amazing local acts.
And a lot more acts are gonna roll through here?
I admittedly can't offer the most extended insights in-to this topic. I think I knew a couple of songs by The Stampeders not long ago. "Sweet City Woman" and "Gator Road" that was on the B side of the 45. That's it. So I definitely have been given some exposure therapy. But I won't give you regurgitated, researched information that you could find elsewhere.
Do I even know things?
