It's exactly what it sounds like (kinda)

Music in a kitchen???

A blog for the homesick Newfoundlander? CHRONICALLY HOMESICK 😎 Somewhere pro-longingly grey and wet might not be so bad for the flare ups?.FOR NOW?

An island of music? Newfoundland kitchen parties are pretty typical of what any experience of music on the island might look like. Disregard Nickelback and the other fellers at Churchill Park or whatnot. So it's not quite like putting one of those bands in a kitchen? Traditional Newfoundland music will fit the bill.

Again, there are no rules, DO BOTH?!

But you don't even have to play an instrument? Whatever you can bang on and make a total racket with is actually reasonable. Still sounds so incredibly good? Silverware (spoons) are a common practice. You can take out an ugly stick which is kind of a broom stick decorated with things that jingle. (often beer bottle caps) Oh and you can keep rhythm on it by beating it on the floor and smacking it with another stick. It usually has a rubber boot on the bottom so you won't tear the Jesus out of the floorboards.

R.I.P to the kitchen-party-esque version of "Nancy Spain" from The Masterless Men (not written by them) I had saved on Facebook that is no longer accessible. I even had it screen recorded to rewatch on my Ipad that is also no longer accessible. 😬

*To tune of "Nancy Spain": "Where is that ting I played, down to Dave's"
