"Soft Offering (For The Oft Suffering)" - Hey Rosetta
You can offer yourself something soft to coat your stomach for the medication. Probably eat some toast. Peanut butter has pretty good protein. Do that.
"Yeah Toast" - Bob and Tom
Being given some relief feels like there could be more of "The Perfect Parts" - Shakey Graves. But there's still no need to strive for those.
"Pay The Road" - Shakey Graves
Most roads aren't perfectly straight, so I suppose you can't expect a road to recovery to be perfectly linear either. "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away" - The Beatles. Yesterday felt better than today.
"Play For Today" - The Cure
As much as laying down and listening to a record is appealing, listening to music on your phone means you don't have to get up and disturb the dog. Resting and not jumping the gun for recovery offers life too. "There's no need to rush anything" - Tim Baker
"That's Life" - Frank Sinatra
Recovery means "riding high in April" and being "shot down in May".
I think that lyric may serve as a metaphor for a lot of things.
"5 Days In May" - Blue Rodeo
Maybe you're already back on your feet again but you really want to get fully back on your feet again. The fastest way to do that might be taking it slow. Even if you don't want to. "slow ride, take it easy" - Foghat *I've come to that conclusion before.
Using repetition to convey points 😎
