Ragged minus the rum?
"I am not a wealthy man, though I've come upon a plan, to make meself as happy as a king." from "Work Boys Work". I think that could be the meaning of life? That whole song?
My summary of it means that you should, DO THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY!
What a spectacular sight to see people dancing to some Newfie jigs again. Especially to the sounds produced by these boys. (by's) Of course they slowed it down a little bit to play older crowd favourites, "Ghost In The Fog", "Salt In his Veins" and whatnot. But it wasn't slow for long. I wanted to hear it pick back up for "Ladies Man" anyway.
It was delightful to hear them play more tunes from their newest album, "Gone Jiggin'", in person. I heard a sneak peek of "Apple tree" last time. But it was extravagant to hear "Thomas Trim", "The Road to Lushes Bight (Island Stock)" and "The Viking Jig/West Bay Centre" live. I can also now listen to a signed analog version. I just posted that, I bet everyone was REALLY excited to see that. YOU SHOULD'VE INSTINCTIVELY KNOWN AND MARKED YOUR CALENDARS FOR IT!
With a fully packed venue, this is definitely where you'd want to be while "Livin' In Alberta".
HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
Highlight of the night: they didn't even have to help me up from the icy ground again
