Today (July 1st) marks the first day!
For the month of July, I will be logging my daily time spent reading in aid of donations for Canadian Cancer Society. Reading every day? Sounds like something that already happens! I just need to keep track of it. Because reading is something you can do no matter what. (unless you're too tired to do so) Maybe your hobbies have had to slow down like mine?
There might be less music overall. (Music doesn't really pair well with reading.) But music still finds its way through. I could very likely be reading (auto)biographies from/about musicians or ethnomusicology stuff like I kind of write. I recommend a read and re-read involving the works of David Byrne or Victor Wooten. Especially "How Music Works" and "The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search For Growth Through Music". With other books being notable too, I won't offer a full list.
READ FOR CANCER! It's not read and you'll get cancer? It's in support of a great cause! Music doesn't cause cancer either, I promise. I don't think it was caused by the tattoos I got many years after my diagnosis like some people might insinuate either?
Donate if you can! Don't if you can't!
