There's no doubt, the music will probably enter through your ears
Playing an instrument can directly boost the longevity of your brain. While music has known benefits to help with the progression of Alzheimers, it's known to stimulate the cerebellum. That's likely why it works so well for me. But it can stimulate other parts of the inside of your noggin too! (I'm not a science teacher, you know that)
IF YOU'RE EXPECTING FACTS, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG PLACE!
It's believed that while some areas of your body are knocked down, others are heightened. When other sorts of physical activity are a no-go, music can take its place. But even if you're much better at listening to music than playing it like I am. You can still reap the benefits. Find an instrument to suit your abilities, or you can even sing along!
That means you can use music for fighting your chronic illness. Whatever way you can. A low impact hobby that can only be beneficial to you? (except for the downside of using precious energy) Why not? I don't think you'll regret it. Give your well-being a little treat. I'm not holding anyone at gunpoint here and saying LEARN AN INSTRUMENT NOW! But if it works, it works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I DON'T EVEN OWN A GUN!
